The impact of digital transformation on the efficiency of public services in government institutions: A case study of the Libyan Center for Consulting and Human Development

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to identify and analyze the impact of digital transformation on the efficiency of public services, specifically at the Libyan Center for Consulting and Human Development. This was achieved through a descriptive analytical approach and a sample of 45 individuals. The research findings revealed that digital transformation contributes to increased adoption of information and communication technologies (ICTs) by institutions across various activities, enabling them to benefit from the advantages of digital transformation, such as speed, ease, flexibility, and efficiency. The results also showed that the Libyan Center for Consulting and Human Development adopts digital transformation in service delivery and that its level of digital transformation is high. This, in turn, leads to improved service quality, reduced costs, increased innovation, enhanced competitiveness, and other benefits that improve service efficiency. Therefore, the research recommends increasing investment in research and development activities related to digital transformation, attracting experts and specialists in digital transformation, developing digital skills among employees, and other recommendations that contribute to maximizing the benefits of digital transformation.
