Study of Creating Secure Electronic Archive

Abstract

The goal of archive digitization is to record documents on a digital medium, allowing them to be retrieved in their original form, enabling them to be retrieved in a manner identical to the original content in all respects, while ensuring security and speed of access to information and reducing the risk of loss. Electronic archives are a digital repository of secure servers and an easy-to-use platform. In addition, it adopts several strict measures to preserve the integrity of the material, its availability, its confidentiality, its integrity and its legal value, it also ensures the traceability of the document to preserve its probative value. In this research, we will review the archiving concept, the current archiving system, then we will study the steps of building the electronic archive in terms of analysis of international archiving requirements and standards, equipment, software and database, recommended security techniques to protect it from unauthorized access. As a practical application, we studied the preparation stage and conducted an experiment on one of the available archiving platforms to identify its database and its suitability for the center’s needs, and we will conclude the research with some recommendations.
