Publication Ethics Policy

Qurina Scientific Journal (QSJ) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, research integrity, and publication ethics. The journal seeks to ensure that all published research meets internationally recognized scholarly and ethical standards.

This policy applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, editorial board members, and the publisher.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts and must:

  1. Submit original work that has not been published, in whole or in part, elsewhere.
  2. Not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.
  3. Ensure the accuracy of the data, results, and conclusions presented.
  4. Properly acknowledge and cite all sources used.
  5. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  6. Disclose sources of funding or research support, where applicable.
  7. Obtain all required ethical approvals for research involving human participants or animals.
  8. Follow appropriate authorship standards and not include individuals who have not made a genuine contribution.
  9. Cooperate with the editorial office regarding questions concerning data integrity or research validity.
  10. Disclose the use of artificial intelligence tools in accordance with the journal's AI policy.

Editors' Responsibilities

Editors shall make editorial decisions based on scholarly quality, originality, significance, and relevance to the journal's scope, without discrimination based on nationality, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, or other non-scholarly considerations.

Editors shall maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, disclose relevant conflicts of interest, and shall not use unpublished information for personal advantage.

Reviewers' Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and confidential assessments, disclose any conflicts of interest, and refrain from using information obtained through peer review for personal or research purposes before publication.

Research and Publication Misconduct

The journal takes seriously allegations of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, image manipulation, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, and other forms of research or publication misconduct.

Where credible evidence of misconduct exists, the journal may request explanations from the authors, contact the relevant institution where appropriate, and issue corrections or retractions depending on the circumstances.

The journal may refer to internationally recognized publication-ethics guidance when handling ethical cases.
