Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI Policy

Qurina Scientific Journal recognizes the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI tools in research, writing, analysis, and scholarly communication.

AI tools, including large language models, must not be listed as authors, because they cannot assume responsibility for the work, declare conflicts of interest, or accept legal and ethical responsibility for published content.

Authors may use AI tools for appropriate assistance, such as language improvement or proofreading, provided that the authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and content of the manuscript.

If AI is used to generate or substantially modify text, images, tables, data analysis, or other substantive components of a manuscript, such use should be transparently disclosed in accordance with the journal's requirements.

AI must not be used to fabricate data, results, references, or research images.

Editors and reviewers must preserve manuscript confidentiality and should not upload confidential manuscripts or unpublished manuscript content into AI systems where such use could compromise confidentiality, privacy, copyright, or intellectual property.
