معدل انتشار سوء التغذية بين المرضى المنومين في مركز بنغازي الطبي

يرتبط سوء التغذية بالعديد من النتائج السريرية السلبية، بما في ذلك طول فترة الإقامة في المستشفى، وزيادة معدلات المراضة والوفيات، وارتفاع تكاليف الرعاية الصحية. الهدف: أُجريت هذه الدراسة لتحديد معدل انتشار سوء التغذية بين المرضى المنومين في مركز بنغازي الطبي. المشاركون والطرق: شملت هذه الدراسة الوصفية المقطعية 200 مريض أُدخلوا إلى أقسام مختلفة في مركز بنغازي الطبي، حيث تم تقييم خطر الإصابة بسوء التغذية باستخدام "أداة الفحص الشامل لسوء التغذية" (MUST). النتائج: أظهرت النتائج أن معدل سوء التغذية بين المرضى المنومين بلغ 41% (العدد = 82) ضمن فئة الخطر المرتفع، و40% (العدد = 80) ضمن فئة الخطر المنخفض، و19% (العدد = 38) ضمن فئة الخطر المتوسط. الاستنتاجات: تبين أن معدل انتشار سوء التغذية بين المرضى المنومين في مركز بنغازي الطبي بلغ 60% من إجمالي المشاركين؛ حيث صُنف 41% منهم ضمن فئة الخطر المرتفع و19% ضمن فئة الخطر المتوسط وفقاً لأداة (MUST). كما لوحظ أن المرضى الذين تجاوزت أعمارهم 60 عاماً وأولئك الذين أُدخلوا لتلقي علاج طبي (غير جراحي) سجلوا معدلات أعلى بشكل ملحوظ للإصابة بسوء التغذية مقارنة بالمجموعات الأخرى (P = 0.031 و P = 0.003 على التوالي)، فضلاً عن وجود ارتباط قوي بين طول فترة الإقامة في المستشفى وارتفاع خطر الإصابة بسوء التغذية.
